Mollywood actor Siddique is set to play the antagonist in upcoming Tamil drama Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu also known as Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan (which is its working title). Silambarasan, also known by the nickname Simbu, is currently shooting for the upcoming movie where Siddique will reportedly be sporting a dusty look. Touted to be a classic drama, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is being directed by Gautham Menon.
The director needs a strong villain against Silambarasan in the film, and he reportedly has roped in actor Siddique, who has stunned everyone with his unusual performances in Malayalam films Drishyam, Hey Jude, Odiyan, Uyare, and others. Siddique, in the forthcoming drama will be seen in a unique avatar, something he has never be seen playing before.
The Malayalam actor’s role in this movie won’t be a normal one and will cement the actor’s place in Kollywood. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu has been written by Jayamohar and is being produced by Ishari K Ganeshan. The drama will have cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni and editing by Anthony.
Shooting of the second schedule of the film was going on in Chennai according to the last reports and the team is expecting to wrap up filming major portions of the movie soon.
Meanwhile, T.R. Silambarasan has teamed up once again with the Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu producer for ‘Corona Kumar‘, which is reportedly going to be directed by Gokul. The official announcement about the Gokul directorial was made recently and it is expected to be an out and out entertainer.
