Superstar Nagarjuna gets emotional about Naga Chaitanya’s name in film

It is known that Naga Chaitanya will be seen sharing screen space with Aamir Khan in the Hindi-language flick ‘Laal Singh Chaddha‘ which is the Bollywood adaptation of 1994 American comedy drama Forrest Gump.

The other day, when Aamir Khan was in Hyderabad to attend the pre-release event of ‘Love Story‘, Wild Dog actor Nagarjuna (Naga Chaitanya’s father) invited him over to his place and hosted a private dinner. At the get together, the Dangal actor revealed that Naga Chaitanya’s name in the upcoming Bollywood biggie, Laal Singh Chaddha, is Balaraju. Nagarjuna was overwhelmed and emotional as that was the name of one much celebrated character of his father, Nageswara Rao’s. This was a movie from about 7 decades ago.

The second interesting fact is, Naga Chaitanya starrer Love Story has the same release date with his celebrated grandfather’s release of the movie ‘Prema Nagar’. Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s Prema Nagar was released exactly 50 years ago. This was an emotional and proud moment for the family, especially Naga Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna.

Lal Sing Chaddha, the adaption of an American academy award winning movie, has been filmed in more than 100 locations within the country. The backdrop of the movie contains several events in India’s history. They gradually unveil through the eyes of Laal Singh Chaddha. He is an autistic man who is also emotionally powerful.

Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming Telugu movie Love Story will feature Sai Pallavi as the female lead alongside him. The hero in this romantic drama is a gentlemanly character. Mounica, on the other hand, is an engineer with low scores. She dreams of dancing to earn her livelihood. Atypically, Mounica lives in fear of her family’s disapproval and refers to her own state as ‘narakam’ (hell).
